These workshops are designed to encourage, equip, and empower you on your journey with Christ. You’ll pick two breakout workshops to go to; morning and afternoon. Breakouts will be presented by our keynote speakers and some incredible women of St. Ann!
Morning Breakouts
How Much is Too Much? Self-Care vs. Self-Sacrifice
In our culture, it is often stressed that self-care is of utmost importance. Yet, the Bible encourages us to “offer [ourselves] as a living sacrifice” and to “take up [our] cross and follow [Jesus].” Is there a place for self-care in a Biblical worldview? Can self-sacrifice go too far? Join Jenna for a reflection on the balance of self-care and self-sacrifice in the life of a disciple and a discussion about specific applications in our daily lives.
Presented by Jenna Scott | Room 330
(A Marian Guide to) Living in a World of Interruptions
Life is filled with interruptions! But how should we respond to them? This breakout will look at what we can learn from Mary about interruptions and how to respond to them in a holy way. We will explore Mary in a realistic, well-rounded way, and give tips about how we, too, can live a life that magnifies the Lord…even amongst interruptions.
Presented by Kelsey Gillespy | Assembly Room
Discernment: Listening to Love
So often discernment is seen as a means to an end, but discernment is a way of life. Come and discover the fruit that can be harvested from living a discerning life and learning to listen to Love. We will unpack some key principles and sharpen some practical tools of discernment from the spiritual tradition of the Church.
Presented by Sr. M. Karolyn Nunes, FSMG | Room 331

Afternoon Breakouts

Alleluia is Our Song: Celebrating as Easter People
Jesus conquered death and His victory is our victory. During Lent, we are called to embrace the cross yet we sometimes forget to claim His triumph and enter into the Resurrection! How can we as Catholics celebrate Easter for all 50 days and not just with an Easter Sunday brunch? We are invited to listen to the Lord’s voice who calls us out of the darkness of our graves and to enter into the joy of the resurrection. This talk will give practical ways on how to allow the Lord’s light in, cling to hope, and truly be the Easter people!
Presented by Mari Pablo | Room 330
Living In Your YES! Magnifying the Lord in Our Marriages
The self-sacrificing love that marriage requires can seem impossible for us, but remember “nothing is impossible for God.” Just as the angel reassured Mary with those words, the Lord promises to fill us with his grace to live in our YES to Him daily. We will talk about specific, practical ways to cultivate the dispositions of Gratitude, Patience and Surrender that lead us to trust and Magnify the Lord in our marriages!
Presented by Mandy Erwin | Assembly Room
Tethered to Eternity
Miscarriage, still birth, and infant loss is often hidden, forgotten, and secretly mourned - keeping us stuck in a spiritual tomb. This breakout is specifically for any mother who has lost a child at any stage of pregnancy or infancy. Come as you are, awaken areas of numbness around loss, and allow God to resurrect what He has for you. Receive consolation and new life, knowing you are not alone. Leave with eyes fixed on eternity.
Presented by Kelly Somers | Room 323
